About Leland Community Affairs, Inc.
Welcome to Leland Community Affairs, Inc. – a beacon of hope and transformation nestled in the heart of Detroit, Michigan. Our journey began in 2001, when we were established as a non-profit 501c3 organization, born out of the heartfelt outreach efforts of Leland Baptist Church. From that humble beginning, we have grown to become a driving force for positive change in the community, with a steadfast commitment to nurturing educational excellence, holistic well-being, and economic stability.
Education is the cornerstone of empowerment, and we firmly believe that every individual deserves access to quality learning opportunities. Through our comprehensive educational initiatives, we aim to equip our community members with the tools they need to navigate the complexities of the modern world. We envision a future where knowledge is freely shared and barriers to education are dismantled.
Economic stability is not just a goal; it's a promise we make to our community. We work tirelessly to provide opportunities that empower individuals to achieve financial independence. Through skill-building workshops, job training, and support for small businesses, we're building a foundation for sustainable growth and prosperity.
